Behind the Lens

The first job that I ever had working on set was working as Maya Rudolph’s double for the movie Idiocracy. It was a dream job for a hopeful kid who wasn’t sure what she wanted to do. The first day on set the Assistant Director (who is now a friend and has been a great mentor) asked me what I wanted to do. I truthfully shared with him that I wasn’t sure if I wanted to work in front or behind the camera. That was nearly a decade ago and while I enjoy working in front of the camera, I still absolutely love working behind the camera. Since my sweet husband Clarence  invested in Love Lezlie by getting me this rad camera I haven’t been able to put it down. I had my first test shoot with Miranda who recently joined the BMG family. Oh, but first I had to stop by one of my favorite local spots, Float.

Are you more comfortable being in front of the camera or behind?
