Full of Wonder

August 11, 2013 — 4 Comments

My friend Leah has been talking about Emeli Sande for almost 2 years now to me but I was too busy listening to Coldplay to take a serious listen. Well, she sent me a text saying she had extra tickets to see Emeli perform at Club Nokia and asked if Clarence and I wanted to go. Yes, please. THIS WOMAN IS AMAZING. She is a creative genius and her lyrics are full of love and truth. Why did Alma and I end up having church up in her concert? That’s right, when she performed her song Lifted it was church up in Club Nokia. It was awesome. Clarence and I ended the night by getting some midnight Pho in Silverlake where a fellow diner approached him with stars in his eyes and hope in his heart. The guy asked, “Are you Alan Evans from Soulive?” I’d never heard of Alan Evans and you should have seen this guy’s face drop when Clarence had to tell him no. But as a result I found another awesome music group to add to my iTunes!
