Love Is Patient.
The dictionary states that patience is the ability to wait without becoming annoyed or anxious. I’m sure you have read or heard the analysis of how impatient our culture has become. The fact that we are used to everything being instant and convenient has developed a generation of people who have lost sight of patience.
Earlier this week I sat in class and listened to Jake Hamilton speak about what success really is. He narrowed it down to a life lived in love. Then he broke down what love really is because it’s not the flighty feeling that we like to make it into. It turns out that love is a long list of things, the first being patient.
I believe that patience is listed first because without it, it would be improbable to develop the rest of the list. The other day I saw a quote that said patience is not the ability to wait but how well one behaves while waiting. What do you think?
