The funniest thing happened while we were in China. It happened almost every single day we went out. Someone would walk up to us, usually with their eyes lit up and smiling, and point to a camera or phone. They were asking to take a photo with Clarence and we weren’t sure why. Did they think he was someone they recognized from media? Clarence thinks it’s because he is black, tall and has an afro. The first 5 or 6 times this happened I laughed on the sidelines. But then I thought it would be funny to document it.
I will say this. He was super gracious about it and I learned a lot watching his process. Our tour group started to take photos as well, we all found it entertaining.
