I waited an entire year for the Mosaic She Clothing Swap event that went down this weekend in Hollywood. The last time I went I walked out of that place with a new fall wardrobe and a few nifty presents for friends. If you haven’t been to a clothing swap before, I’d highly advise you check one out in your area. I’m fortunate that I live in LA because the clothing selection is always awesome since so many entertainers live in this town. So the way this event works is women bring clothes they no longer wear and donate it to the event. You can also donate new items (i.e. if you are a designer and want to get your pieces into the hands of new women). Each lady pays $10 to get in and in exchange gets to mingle, eat, drink and be merry until it’s their turn to fill their bags with as many clothes as they want. Priscilla Rios hosts this particular swap through Mosaic church and she always does a fabulous job. I first met Priscilla a few years ago when she cast me in the Hope In The City runway show.
My lovely ladies Alma and Kirsten attended the event with me and got their makeup done and hot chocolate on while waiting to swap.
