The Love Letter – Part 1

Hey Lovers,

Wouldn’t it be nice to receive a monthly love letter in the mail filled with encouraging words and gifts you can use? I recently discovered a service through Instagram that offers this very thing and was so pleased to connect with the lovely ladies who started it. Whenever I see a mission devoted to LOVE my heart skips a beat because, well, it’s the answer to everything in life. Check out my interview below with the beautiful soul, Sarah,  behind The Love Letter.



How has creating “The Love Letter” changed your lives?

The Love Letter has given us this incredible sense of purpose. There is nothing more gratifying than making another person’s day, and we get to do it for hundreds of people every month! Lucky us :).

Did you have a breakthrough moment or tool that helped you to better love yourselves?

Our realisation of knowing that if we can’t stand our own company; if we can’t love ourselves – then how can we possibly love others and live authentic, happy lives?

Can you expand on,We had unknowingly caught ourselves up in what everyone else was doing and were asking all the wrong questions to all the wrong people.”

We didn’t know who we were anymore as individuals… Did we want the big house, nice car and babies? Or is that just what we were supposed to want? The questions we were asking weren’t meant for anyone other than ourselves. Sometimes it is good to ask others for advice, but most of the time, we should just ask ourselves. We’re the only ones who can really know what’s best for us.

How did the two of you meet, or become friends?

Sarah and I both share our lives with two very handsome and kind boys who happen to be brothers 😉 7 years ago we met and were friends from there.

Do you have any advice for a reader who may be trying to love herself but isn’t sure how?

Stop listening to anything and anyone who makes you feel bad or negative about yourself. List 10 things that you love about yourself, look at that list everyday! Repeat positive affirmations to yourself until you believe them, and then keep saying them! Treat yourself! Spend time alone with yourself and learn to enjoy being in your own company.

In the DIY portion was a recipe for making your own Superfood Salad. Here’s what I put in mine:

  • spinach
  • asparagus
  • tomato
  • avocado
  • pine nuts
  • olive oil
  • lemon juice
